Experience

Miguel Recio is an experienced Spanish lawyer with a legal background of more than 10 years practicing data protection/privacy, copyright, IPR enforcement, e-commerce, e-signature, and e-Government. Miguel has an international education and work experience facing global legal questions.

After obtaining his LL.M. (Master) in Washington, DC and work as a legal counsel for Business Software Alliance (BSA), Miguel started his own consulting firm on ICT Law in Madrid.

Education and Bar Admissions

Miguel earned his JD from Carlos III University of Madrid and LL.M. in Intellectual Property from The George Washington University.

He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association (´Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de Madrid´) since 2000.

Publications

Miguel has published several articles on IT Law (data protection, e-commerce, domain names, e-signature, etc.) and he has been a contributor to several books, manuals, and withepapers on data protection, e-commerce, and e-signature.
